Facilities for researchers

Office space

The Centre can arrange office space and administrative assistance for research teams who wish to have a physical presence in Europe . Staff and postgraduate research and honours students, from Monash and other Australian universities can apply to use individual or shared office space at the Prato Centre on a casual or longer term basis.

Facilities

• Four offices.
• Work stations for up to five graduate students with data points and printer access.
• Three networked computer laboratories with high speed Internet connection and basic Office software.
• Telephones (staff access).
• Photocopier (staff access).
• Facsimile (staff access).
• Scanner (staff access).
• Italian language tuition can be arranged on a user-pays basis.

Please note: charges will apply to defray the cost of lighting, heating, IT equipment maintenance and consumables etc.

Funding

The Centre does not fund researchers, however, there are a number of relevant fellowship and scholarships schemes. For more information, see the scholarships and fellowships webpage.

It is the responsibility of individual staff and students to inform themselves of Italian visa requirements and make suitable arrangements.
